Quinoa kheer is so delicious I have not tasted till date,. Today I tried it ,with few ingredients very easy to cook this kheer is low calorie Indian festival dessert,full of fibre and nutrition.
- Quinoa – 1/2cup
- Coconut Milk – 1 ½ cup
- Dry milk powder-2tbsp
- Sugar – ¼ cup
- Cardamom powder – ¼ tsp
- Ghee – 1 tsp
- Chopped almonds- 1 tbsp
- Chopped cashewnut – 1 tbsp
Wash quinoa thoughrolly.
Soak quinoa for 15 minutes.drain the water.
Boil the quinoa in cooker 5 mins. With l Drain and rinse the quinoa well.
In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, place the drained quinoa, coconut milk, sugar and dry powder milk.
Add powdered cardamom powder
Bring gently to the boil, then lower the heat and simmer gently for 20-30 minutes, stirring every few minutes, until the kheer has thickened
Heat ghee in pan fry cashewnut.
Add Crush and toast the nuts in kheer.
Serve topped with crushed nuts .
